It's been a week since our little bundle of joy was born. He was 7 lbs 11 oz and 20" long and was born at 6:57 pm. He was born so fast that his chest had fluid left in them and the doctors had to work on him for a few minutes (that seemed like an eternity for me) before I could hold him. Our little Dylan made a remarkable recovery and is as healthy as he could be.

Jonathan loves his little brother. He constantly wants to give him hugs and kisses and he tries to help with whatever his little brother needs.

Here's Urban and Dylan. Urban is only about three and a half weeks older than Dylan! I'm sure Dylan will grow up to love his cousin and be best buddy's.

Dylan is such a good baby. He'll sometimes sleep for like 3 or 4 hours at a time and I find myself checking on him to see if he's ok because he just doesn't cry or fuss! And when he is awake, I change his diaper, feed him and he'll go right back to sleep with no problem.
I love my two little boys and feel so blessed and thankful for them. We love you Johnny and Dylan.

So here are just a few pictures of my baby shower. I had so much fun and enjoyed it so much. Thanks to everyone that was there!

It was at Kellie's house and my cool sister in-laws decorated everything in a lakers theme! Go Lakers!!!

Diapers, diapers, diapers... it's easy to forget how many diapers a little baby goes through but I'm glad I can start stocking up now!

I've known these two girls since I was like 15!! Can't believe how fast time goes by. Thanks for being there chicas ;)

I really enjoyed having my close friends and family there.

We had some very good home made food thanks to Kellie, Rachelle, and Kelsey! Very yummy and of course, I had to have a little of everything.

I am sooooo happy and excited to have received my stroller! I can't wait to use it; it's a double stroller but very compact and light. Jonathan will be able to sit or stand on the back and our little one on the front... way cool!!

When it was time to go trick or treating Jonathan was not having it. He didn't want us to take his picture, he didn't want to say trick or treat and he kept wiping his makeup off. But once he got into the trick or treating mood, there was no stopping him. He specially loved this really scary clown and could not stop staring at him. After trick or treating, our block had a halloween party that was a lot of fun. We were so busy chatting that we forgot to take more pictures so we only have the ones were Jonathan was not in a good mood... oh well.

Our day at Disneyland and the Angels game

So we decided to take the day off from work on Friday and go to Disney & Cal Adventure Park to celebrate our 6 yr wedding anniversary! It was so much fun and we all had a blast. It was actually Johnny's first time there so he couldn't get enough of the rides and the treats. We took him to all sort of rides; even the fast ones like star tours! It was so funny; he would just hold on to our hand as hard as he could but did not cry once. So brave =).
He loved the pirates of the caribbean ride and thought all of the pirates and characters were real. We were there all day and ended up super tired but we all had a great time.
On Saturday Jason and Kelsey invited us to the Angel's game but I was feeling sick so I ended up not going =(. Justin and Johnny said they had a lot of fun. Where do they get so much energy from??

Johnny's first visit to the Dentist

So I (Justin) took Johnny to his first visit to the dentist. He was a little unsure about the whole thing, but the dentist office was so kid friendly that he decided that this was a good place. As the dental hygenist cleaned his teeth he was as cool as a cucumber. I was so proud of my little guy. I guess because she was speaking to him in spanish, plus the stuff she cleaned it with was bubble gum flavored. Whatever the case he did quite well, and got a new toothbrush, floss, a balloon and stickers to boot. He was lovin it. Here are a few pictures. So a few weeks ago the Young Men in the ward went fishing as an activity and I had to go along as a driver. I thought I would take advantage of the opportunity and take Johnny fishing, there happened to be a play ground there at the lake. So most of the pics are of Johnny on the playground.

Yes in case you haven't heard we are having another boy. We went to find out because honestly I was dying to find out. But the assistant at the clinic said that it's definitely a boy, he wasn't being shy at all. =) So I am stoked to have my little shooting guard, WR/DB, and Shortstop. We don't have any names at this point but we are very excited to have another Crowder boy. Johnny is excited to be a big brother to our new little guy. I'm going to post the ultrasound pics tomorrow.

I had been very lucky to have Justin update our blog before. But since he found a new passion (facebook), he's forgotten about our blog =(. I guess it's ok and only fair for it to be my turn. It was a little overcast and the water was cold but that didn't stop Jonathan from getting soaking wet. Why am I not in the pictures?? So we decided to put Johnny into a swim class for a few months over the summer. He loves his swim class and especially his teacher Cindy. Yes if you haven't heard yet, and I know how fast the news flies. Yes Anna is pregnant she just went to the Dr. today and the Dr. said that she is about a month and a half along. The baby will be due in February and as a father I'm excited, nervous, scared and happy. Looks like I've got to find a third source of income. We will be looking forward to this additional little blessing to our family. We will keep you posted.

Well the Lakers clinched the Western Conference Championship, and now look to play in the finals. The first time in the finals since 2004. Kobe took over the game and left the Spurs in the dust after overcoming a 17 point deficit. I was extremely jealous of my little brother Jason who got tickets to the game. Kobe was amazing and had a total of 39 in the game. What an absolutely amazing performance. Go Lakers!!

Memorial Day at the Strawberry Festival

So we decided to go to the Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival. Ever since Anna and I started dating we have gone to the Strawberry Festival almost every year since we've been married. It's kind of a fair/carnival atmosphere, but it's fun to go and hang out. Well this is the first year Johnny could actually go on rides and understand more of what's going on. We also took my nephew Danny with us.

Johnny and Danny won some "pirate swords" from one of the games there and were playing pirates all day long. There's Anna too, what a hot mama!
Here is Johnny on the "Pirate Ride" this is his first ride he has been on all by himself. He loved it.

We met our great friends Jason, Liz and Hailey there at the festival and this is a pic of Jason and Hailey and Johnny and me. This was a little train ride that went around a little track. Hailey was loving it, Johnny was pretty chill just enjoying it.

Here is Danny playing one of the Carnival "steal your money games" games he actually won though on this game, but all of those games there you might as well be prepared to throw away your money. It's fun and painful at the same time.

Here we are at the end of the day in front of a little fountain, it was a long day, but I'm glad Jason was there to endure it with me. I always love hanging out with Jason and Liz, cause Jason and I talk about how awesome the Lakers are and how they are going to win it all, and the girls talk about..... well whatever they talk about. Probably how awesome their husbands are and how studly they are.

Johnny didn't know what to do while we were singing happy birthday. He just looked around at everybody (probably thinking...Mommy can't really sing). lol

We had a pretty cool cake... and it was good too.

This was so funny. Our family (like a lot of latinos) has the tradition of having to bite the cake if it's your birthday. The piece that you bite becomes yours to eat. So when Justin and others said "MORDIDA", I didn't think Johnny was going to go for it, but he did!
I love my little boy; he's such a trooper.

He was out by the end of the day and took about an hour nap. We were there from 10am to about 6pm!
But it was such a fun and perfect day. Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate that very special day :P

My trip to Mexico

Here's Jonathan in the plane on our way to Toluca, Mexico. I could not get him to stay seated but he was very good at finding ways to keep himself entertained.

Here's my lil sister Cynthia and Johnny. Mother's day in Mexico is May 10th and I was sooo lucky to be able to be with my mom and my grandma on that very special day. Cynthia, Jonathan and I went to buy some flowers for my mom and grandma and Johnny looked so cute holding the dozen roses that I had to take a picture.

This is one of my favorite pictures. My mom, my grandma, Jonathan and me (three generations)... the best mother's day present ever. Las queremos mucho =).

Jonathan was being spoiled by everyone and he took advantage of it by asking for candy every chance he got. Everyone was so surprised at the fact that he speaks Spanish. He kept on showing off by counting and singing in both English and Spanish. Que inteligente soy!

Here's Jonathan and me with my tio Jorge (my mom's brother) and my tia Julia and Jorgito (his wife and son). They were SO nice to us and took Jonathan and me somewhere new almost everyday we were there.

Well Anna and Johnny have been gone now for 5 days and I must say that it's pretty lonely around the house. Anna and Johnny are in Toluca Mexico visiting Anna's grandma who is pretty sick and will probably pass away shortly. I miss my beautiful wife and my little buddy. I am going on Wednesday to pick them up in Tijuana and I can't wait to see them!! We'll post some pics as soon as Anna gets back from Mexico.

Mission Viejo 5th Roadshow

Ok so I don't know if you have ever been in or been in charge of a roadshow, but let's just say it is a lot of work. So as Young Men's President I was assigned the duty of Stage Manager of our wards roadshow. There is nothing like being in charge of over 20 young men and young women that don't want to participate in the ward roadshow. I wouldn't say that all of them didn't want to participate but there were a few that made it difficult to say the least. I am proud to say that they performed wonderfully. The theme was it's a dot com life. Our director and producer Hermano Barreda wrote a wonderful screenplay called Landoftheimmigrants.com kind of a Broadway musical presentation. The kids were great and when it was all said and done they had a great time.

I've said this before I'm not a Clipper fan, but I am a fan of basketball so when I got a free ticket to the Clippers vs. Blazers from Jordan I had to go. Jordan and Jason met a client there named Tim. It was one of the lowest scoring games that I've seen live. Clippers ended up losing but it did come down to the last 5 seconds. Thanks Jordan for the food and ticket.

Jared and Rachelle just had their little girl. Brooklyn Nichole Crowder weighed 7 lbs. 9 0z. and is a little cutie. We told Johnny that he had a new little cousin named Brooklyn and he said "Broken Oh Ok." It was pretty cute he'll probably end up calling her "Broken" till he learns how to say his "L's". The world has lost a great man today, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints passed away at the age of 97. He was the face of the Church for so long, I really can't believe that it is true. We were fortunate to hear from him two weeks ago at Stake Conference. He left with us 4 cornerstones to live by.

4. Family Prayer

Along with many other teachings he will be remembered as a kind and loving man who gave his life to service to God and his children. He will be missed.

For the last 85 years these two teams have met every year in what is considered one of the great rivalries of college football. Ever since I can remember, this weekend of BYU vs. Utah has been known as "The Holy War", Blue vs. Red, Saints vs. Sinners, The Lord's Team vs. The Apostates, BYU vs. The Hated Ones, Brother vs. Sister. This Saturday they will meet again and will decide who will win, Good or Evil. Last year BYU was victorious in what was considered one of the storied games of this rivalry. With 3 seconds left to go John Beck found Johnny Harline in the endzone on his knees to score the touchdown and seal the victory for BYU. In what became known as "The Answered Prayer" because Johnny Harline was on his knees as he caught the ball. I thought I would share a clip of it for all of the Ute fans that maybe had forgotten that awesome play. Remember Ute fans there is always repentance. Go Cougars!!

A night at the Staples Center

First let me say this, I am a die hard Laker fan, but when I get "free" tickets to an NBA game I'll go watch anybody play except the Jazz :) ha ha Jared that was for you. So a couple weeks ago we got tickets to the Clippers v. Golden State. We had great seats and even had a waiter to bring us food. The Clippers won and it was a fun game, here are some pics. We took our friends, Gerardo (Our Bishop) and Diane Valdivia.

Anna loved how these guys( the ones in the red jackets) came onto the court after every dead ball or time out. She loved how they took their job so seriously. If you've ever been to a game they do make ya laugh.

This year halloween was a blast. Johnny really was lovin the whole "free candy" scene. He would knock on the door and then when they put the bowl of candy out he was grabbing fistfulls of candy. We had to keep reminding him to say Trick or Treat, he was trying to say it but it was more like "Twik o Tweet". It was so freakin cute!! Everybody said how much they loved his little costume. Johnny was dressed as a dragon, but to him he was a dinosaur, he kept saying "dinoso" and then he would make this little growl noise.

Friends and Family,
I just wanted to thank you for all your contributions to the CHOC walk. It was an amazing success and Johnny, Anna and I raised just over $720 for such a great cause. It’s a little short of our goal of $1,000, but still an awesome job and it will help make a difference in these kids lives. It was amazing there were over 15,000 people walking through Disneyland and California adventure. There were tons of people who were walking in memory of a little child or who had their kids at CHOC currently. It was a very touching experience and something that the Crowder’s will be doing every year forever. We helped raise over $1 million dollars for these sweet little kids. Once again thank you to all those who contributed.

Yes we are all ok, thank you to everybody who called to see how we were. The fire came way too close to us last night. The pictures you see are from yesterday afternoon and into the evening. We left our house last night at 10:00 pm to go to some friends house in Rancho Santa Margarita on a voluntary evacuation. We stayed there while the fire raged on here. Apparently after we left the fire kissed the back part of the houses on the road over from us. Firefighters were able to keep the flames from burning any structures by us. However as I type I can hear the airplanes dumping over the hill from us as it continues to burn. It was a very long night to say the least. I have attached a picture to give you an idea of where the fire burned, the star on the map is where our house is. As you can see it got pretty close.
Just a lot of smoke and ash right now.

My Hero Monte Holm

Last night I met one of my heroes and mentors. I had the opportunity to listen to and meet one of the great people in this world. His name is Monte Holm and he is the President of World Financial Group. He has an abiding faith in our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. He has a beautiful family with six kids and a loving wife and holds high family and moral values and truly cares about others. He has helped hundreds of thousands of people and possibly millions of families over the life of his career better understand their finances. He started in the financial services industry at the age of 22 and by age 25 had $1 million dollars in savings. Today he is almost 50 years of age and continues to help families even though he doesn't need the money. He continues to give back to others in so many ways. I am inspired to work harder and to do more to help others I see that stand in need.

Ok, so this weekend was a "Super Saturday" event in Cerritos for World Financial Group. They had the #60 car there from NASCAR which is driven by Carl Edwards who is #1 in the point standings. Not that I'm into NASCAR, but I consider it free advertising for my business. My friend and mentor Jun DeLa Cruz from the "Cruzaders" put on the event and it was an awesome event.

do better in my life. He is somebody who through hard work and the right vehicle has helped thousands of families change their lives for the better. He has also been extremely successful financially in business. He has a great family life and he could retire today at the age of 30 and never have to work again and make $1 million a year, but he chooses to continue to give back and help others. This guy is a Stud!!

After the event was over there was an opportunity for us to give to a good cause. Presbyterian Hospital was there for a blood drive and I wanted to participate. They say that everytime you give blood you can help 3-4 people. So I decided to donate a pint of my blood. This was my first time giving blood and everything was going fine. I finished my donation of a pint and was feeling ok. I stood up to go get my juice and snacks and started to feel really light headed. Luckily I had sat down and was drinking my juice, when all of a sudden I wake up with people all around me putting cold compresses on my forehead and fanning me with air. I had fainted, and it was quite an interesting feeling. It felt like waking up from a dream, and not knowing where you are. For those of you that have fainted before you know what I'm talking about. So I found out afterwards that if you are going to donate blood it's good to eat a good sized breakfast before hand. I had eaten a little bite of Johnny's banana in the morning and ran out the door. I didn't have enough food in me and my body told me so. I encourage you all to donate at the next blood drive that is near you. Just make sure you have eaten before you do so or it's lights out.

Justin's office grand opening!

The grand opening was a great success. We thank all of you who were able to attend and show your support. It was an exciting and very fun day. Justin and his team will be having a second grand opening for those who couldn't make it and still want to show your support and for those who want to learn more about the business. It'll be this Wednesday October 10 at 7pm. We have faith that this will be the beginning of a new and successful time for this wonderful team of champions.
